Up to 450,000 people are expected to be in Vegas by Super Bowl weekend, and this influx of people has caused the city's hotel prices to surge. When big events come to town, whether it be the Super Bowl or Taylor Swift's Eras Tour , cities tend to get an economic boost . These economic impacts don't stop at cities' boundaries: surrounding areas like Boulder City could see an uptick in visitors and spending as well. He expects a similar — if not bigger impact — during Super Bowl week. An individual familiar with the airport's operations told the Las Vegas Review-Journal in a late January story that the airport's bookings around Super Bowl weekend were almost full to capacity.

New York CNN —Wendy’s is entering the pumpkin spice wars. For the first time, Wendy’s is adding a pumpkin spice-flavored Frosty to its menus for a limited time beginning September 12. Adding pumpkin spice-flavored drinks seems like a no-brainer for Wendy’s since the flavor keeps growing in popularity, partly because of Starbucks. The chain doesn’t mix up its Frosty flavors as nearly as often as McDonald’s does with its McFlurry lineup. Also for a limited time this year, Wendy’s is adding a pumpkin spice-flavored cold brew coffee drink, which uses the “same delicious syrup from the pumpkin spice Frosty,” it said.

Rebhun said that El Pollo Loco's work with influencers "without a doubt" drove customers to the brand. Dickey said that Dickey's work with influencers – in particular those involved with food and sport – was "directly in response to millennial and Gen Z." "Any lingering traditional media that we do," like TV commercials, radio spots, and out-of-home ads, is "all for boomers and Gen X," she added. Execs told Insider it was "leveraging youth culture," including music, sport, influencers, and TikTok, to create an image of a "Gen Z-esque aspirational lifestyle." Wendy's has also been working with sports, gaming, and music companies to lure in Gen Zers, Loredo said.

For Wendy's, Cheerios is now as much of a rival for breakfast customers as other restaurants, its CMO says. It just reported record quarterly breakfast sales. The chain reported record quarterly US breakfast sales volumes in the quarter to July 2, with year-over-year sales growth in the mid-single digits. And Wendy's is eyeing "outsized" growth for its breakfast sales in the future, executives said at its earnings call last week. Wendy's breakfast menu includes French toast sticks, sandwiches in croissant and biscuit buns, and hot and iced coffee.

Snack Wraps Return Just Not to McDonald's

Wendy's announced a new grilled chicken ranch wrap this week. 'There are many who've tried to master the grilled chicken wrap,' a Wendy's executive said. But after seven years, a grilled chicken ranch wrap is coming back — just not to McDonald's. Wendy's plans to sell a grilled chicken ranch wrap at stores, the company announced this week. The wrap appears to closely mimic McDonald's iconic snack wrap, which came in several varieties, including a ranch flavor.
New York CNN —Fans who are missing McDonald’s “Snack Wraps” can soon get their fix at a rival. Beginning Tuesday, in a move that could attract customers clamoring for the return of the fan-favorite food, Wendy’s is adding a new grilled chicken ranch wrap to its menu. Wendy’s wrap is slightly different from McDonald’s version, because the chain “didn’t want to mess around with a McBland snack wrap dupe,” said Carl Loredo, Wendy’s global chief marketing officer. He told CNN that grilled chicken is used in place of crispy chicken that was in McDonald’s wrap, because he said Wendy’s fans are looking for “lighter and more portable menu items.”Wendy's is selling a McDonald's Snack Wrap of their own. So, selling a beloved menu item could prove to be an advantage for Wendy’s against its much larger competitor.

New York CNN Business —Wendy’s is adding a holiday-themed Frosty to its menu for the first time ever. Beginning next Tuesday, Wendy’s will sell a peppermint Frosty for a limited time. Wendy's peppermint Frosty goes on sale next week. The vanilla Frosty was added to menus in 2006 and strawberry was briefly sold this past year.
